Kethebe Sethunyane is a seasoned strategic leader with extensive experience in strategy execution, enterprise project management, digital transformation, and business process optimization. He joined Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) in 2019 and currently leads cross-functional teams across Strategy Management, Business Transformation, and Change Management, driving organizational performance and sustainable growth.
He holds industry-recognized certifications including Kaplan-Norton Strategy Execution Professional, TOGAF, PRINCE2, PROSCI Change Practitioner, SAFe, Managing Power Sector Reforms, BPM Professional, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. He is currently pursuing an MBA with the University of Hull and a Senior Management Development Programme (SMDP) with Stellenbosch Business School, further strengthening his executive capabilities.
He brings a proven track record in leading enterprise-wide initiatives such as strategy execution frameworks, digital process automation and project portfolio management. Mr Lerothodi Moshoeshoe

Mr. Lerothodi Moshoeshoe joined the Corporation in 2013 as a Departmental Accountant for Assets and Projects before being appointed to the Payables and Taxes Manager position in 2015. He was further appointed as the Financial Planning and Control Manager in 2016. From 2019 to 2020, he oversaw, amongst others, the Supply Chain Department as an acting Chief Financial Officer. He is a Chartered Accountant (ACCA Fellow member). He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics and Education from the University of Botswana which underscores his diverse wealth of experience cutting across various disciplines. He further holds Master of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Aberdeen, UK. Additionally, he has undergone various development programs on leadership and power sector management amongst others.

Ms. Kefilwe Batsalelwang Kebafetotse joined Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) as the Marketing and Communications Manager in September 2024, bringing over 17 years of distinguished experience in Corporate Communications, Marketing, and Public Relations. She holds a Commonwealth Executive Masters in Business Administration from Botswana Open University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management from the University of Sunderland, a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies from the University of Namibia, and a Senior Leadership Development Programme certificate from the University of Johannesburg. Her broad industry experience spans government, aviation, and mining sectors, where she has successfully driven strategic communication initiatives that enhance brand visibility and build lasting stakeholder relationships.

Ms. Kebafetotse leads BPC’s comprehensive marketing, public relations, and communication strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives . She also manages corporate social responsibility initiatives to enhance social value and reinforce BPC’s reputation . Leveraging her digital communication expertise, she drives BPC’s online presence, adapting to evolving industry dynamics and customer expectations.

Mr. Galebolae Otimile is the General Manager – Information and Communication Technology. He leads the implementation of the Corporation’s Digital Transformation strategy, ensuring that robust, secure, and fit-for-purpose information systems are deployed to leverage technology as a key driver of operational efficiency and the achievement of business objectives. With over 20 years of experience in ICT, Mr. Otimile has successfully led the development and execution of digital transformation initiatives, delivering strategic technology solutions and enterprise-wide system enhancements.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University (Scotland) and a BSc (Honours) in Information Systems from the University of Leeds (England). He is a certified professional in PRINCE2 (Practitioner), Digital Transformation – A Practical Strategy (GIBS, South Africa), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), ITIL, and COBIT, among others. He is also a member of the ISACA professional body.

Ms Annah Moncho

Ms Annah Moncho joined BPC in 2014 as SHER Manager responsible for Generation Business Unit. In May 2017 she was appointed Corporate SHER Manager for the whole organisation. Ms Moncho has previously worked in various mining houses such as Debswana, Gem Diamonds and African Copper as well as also managing her own consultancy firm.

She has gained valuable experience in the field of Safety, Health, Environment & Risk and has successfully implemented best practice standards such as ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 in both green and brown field projects. Ms Moncho holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration and Environmental Sciences from the University of Botswana and also holds a post graduate qualification in Enterprise Risk Management from Botswana Accountancy College (BAC).

Mr Bakani Nlebgwa

Mr. Nlebgwa joined the Corporation in September 2013 and was subsequently elevated to the position of Learning and Development Manager on 6 October 2017.He has acted for the General Manager Human Resources position from 01 March to 31 July 2019 and from 01 August 2024 to 31 March 2025.

Prior to joining BPC, Mr. Nlebgwa worked as Assistant Director – Employment Relations, and Assistant Director – Training and Development in the Directorate of Public Service Management (DPSM), under the Ministry of State President. Thereafter,he was assigned to the Human Resource Planning Project as a Project Manager responsible for developing the Botswana Public Service Human Resource Policy Framework in collaboration with the Commonwealth Fund forTechnical Cooperation.

Mr. Nlebgwa holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources and Employment Relations from the University of Western Australia, a Senior ManagementDevelopmentProgrammecertification from the University of Stellenbosch, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Botswana.

Mr.Nlebgwa has also undergone training on Managing Power Sector Reforms with the University of Cape Town and completed an Advanced Programme on Public Policy Managing and Analysis from the University of Queensland,Australia.He is a certified member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).

Mr Tebogo Thakadu

Mr.Thakadu is a seasoned Electrical Engineer with over twenty-five (25) years of experience in electrical power systems, transmission and distribution networks, system operations, and asset management. He is currently serving as the Technical Services Manager. His career with BPC started on 10 January 2000 as a Graduate Engineer.

Mr.Thakadu holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Electronics from the University of Botswana, Supervisory and Management skills certificates as well as a Senior Management Development Programme from the University of Stellenbosch. He has also undergone various specialized training in power systems, strategic asset management, and energy infrastructure development.

Mr.Thakadu’s career trajectory within BPC showcases progressive leadership and technical excellence, having previously held roles such as Engineering Manager – Asset Management and Care, Manager Technical Services – Transmission & Distribution, Senior Engineer Protection, and Network Maintenance Manager.

In addition to his vast experience,Mr.Thakadu has actively contributed to major national and international energy projects,serving as a member of the SAPP Coordination Centre Board, Technical Advisory Committee for the Mega Solar Project, and a key participant in the BERA Renewable Energy Support Project.

Ms Mpho Kubanji

Mpho Kubanji (nee’ Modiro-Marata) is the General Corporate Counsel (Board Secretary). She joined Botswana Power Corporation in 2017. She is an attorney by profession with 13 years post-qualification experience which includes contract drafting and negotiation, public procurement, and commercial and international law.

Ms. Kubanji holds A Master of Law Degree (2009) (having specialised in International Trade Law) and a Bachelor of Law Degree (2007) from Fort Hare University. She also holds a Professional Certificate and Diploma in Trade Policy.

She has also attended several courses related to the provision of legal services, leadership, and management development as well as power purchase agreements/energy contracts. She was admitted to the Courts of Botswana as an Attorney in 2009. Prior to joining BPC, she was under the employ of the Attorney General Chambers having worked as Principal State Counsel II before joining BPC in 2017. Ms. Kubanji has six years of experience in the Energy Sector at BPC. Ms Kubanji has also worked as a Council Attorney at Mahalapye Sub-District Council from 2010 to 2012.

Mr Mogomotsi Kebitseng

Mr Mogomotsi Kebitseng joined the BPC Executive Management team on the 1st of August 2022 as the General Manager Asset Management and Care. He previously served as the Power Station Manager at the Morupule A Power Station.

Mr Kebitseng is a Professional Engineer with over 12 years of experience in the Power generation, water, gas, Cryogenics, Hydrogen (SMR) and mining utility industries. His experience includes engineering, operations and maintenance, project and Contracts management obtained in various countries including Namibia, Botswana, Egypt and Madagascar where he has held various roles in engineering and Senior Management.

He is well versed in the areas of Asset Management and Reliability engineering, Robotics, Process automation, Control & Instrumentation and ISO Integrated Management systems.

Mr Kebitseng holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree in Electronics (Telecom, Controls and Automation) from the Multimedia University, Malaysia and a Master of Business Administration in Operations and Project Management, UCAM, Spain. He is a member of the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI, UK).

Mr Emmanuel Bakgwane Bopadile

Emmanuel has been in the Internal Audit profession since 1994, having started his career as a Performance Auditor in the Office of the Auditors General. In 1998 he moved to Botswana Housing Corporation (BHC) as a Treasury Accountant, and thereafter he returned to the profession when he joined Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC) in 1999. Emmanuel has also headed the Internal Audit department at UNIGEM, and was also part of the BCL Internal Audit team in 2016. Emmanuel championed risk based controls self-assessment model. ​
