EMPOWERING YOUNG MINDS THROUGH ELECTRICAL SAFETY AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY

The Marketing and Communications team took the opportunity of Radio Botswana’s national roadshow to bring important electrical safety and energy efficiency messages closer to learners in some of Botswana’s most remote communities.
As part of this initiative, Botswana Power Corporation visited Bugalo, Satau and Kachikau Primary Schools, engaging directly with learners on the importance of using electricity safely and responsibly. The sessions provided a valuable opportunity to equip young minds with practical knowledge that they can apply at school, at home and within their communities.
Despite the challenges associated with their remote locations, the learners welcomed the BPC team with enthusiasm, curiosity and a strong eagerness to learn. Their participation and thoughtful engagement demonstrated that the thirst for knowledge knows no boundaries.
For BPC, initiatives such as these go beyond sharing information – they are about empowering communities, nurturing a culture of electrical safety and encouraging responsible energy use from an early age.
The roadshow was a meaningful reminder that wherever our communities are, BPC is committed to reaching them, educating them and making a positive difference – one learner at a time.
