The North West Transmission Grid is an investment of P4.6 Billion investment by the Government of Botswana which Botswana Power Corporation is implementing. This project is one of the biggest infrastructure programmes of Government. The project will be implemented in 2 phases, creating employment for 2100 people in each phase during the period of construction, with about 81% being local citizens. About 5000 to 8000 permanent jobs created in various parts of the economy once the project has been completed and business operations grown and established in the North Western Districts of the economy.
