Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) has embarked on a strategic journey in its pursuit to become a competitive commercial power utility within the region that is responsive and customer focused. To achieve this goal, a number of strategic Business Units have been established, and the placement of key professionals to drive this mandate is critical.

BPC requires dynamic, result oriented and customer focused individuals who believe they can be part of a great team that delivers power to Batswana, to apply for the following positions:


 

1. SENIOR RECORDS MANAGEMENT OFFICER (TENABLE IN GABORONE X1) - CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SUPPLY SBU    
 
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To plan coordinate and control the records management function to ensure availability and efficient retrieval of the Corporation’s records.

Qualifications: 

  • Recognized Degree in Archives and Records Management or equivalent.


Experience:    

  • Four (4) years post qualification experience, in records management.

 2.     CUSTOMER SERVICES OFFICER TENABLE IN TSABONG X 1-CSS -SBU
 
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To receive and attend to visitors/customers to the Corporation in a courteous and professional manner and process application and payments for new connections in an efficient and effective manner in accordance with established policies and procedures and to enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Recognised Diploma in Business, Marketing or equivalent.

  Experience:

  • Three (3) years post qualification experience in a customer service environment.

 
 Competencies:

  • Procedural Awareness and Understanding
  • Communication and interpersonal Skills
  • Proactive and Initiative
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.


 

3. MATERIALS CONTROLLER (PROCUREMENT, WAREHOUSING AND INVENTORY
     PLANNING) TENABLE IN MORUPULE AND FRANCISTOWN X 2 –CHR SBU

 MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To effectively manage and coordinate the Corporation Procurement, Inventory Planning
 Warehousing activities by ensuring that goods and services are adequately procured, safely stored and to control the replenishment of stock items so as to meet planned and unplanned needs for materials.

Qualifications:

  • CIPS Foundation Stage or Higher National Diploma in Supply and Materials Management.


Experience:

  • 5 Years in Materials or Logistics Management of which 2 years should have been at Supervisory  level in a Technical Stores.
